Terms Of Use
Terms and Conditions of Service
This Terms and Conditions document explains the agreement between you (“the Customer”) and Appliance of Pinellas for all appliance repair services provided. By allowing our technician to commence service, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these terms. These terms apply to all services performed by Appliance of Pinellas, including, but not limited to, refrigerator repair, dishwasher repair, dryer repair, and other home appliance services.
Non-Refundable Service Call Fee
We charge a non-refundable service call fee for every visit, which covers the cost of travel, scheduling, and time spent diagnosing your appliance. This fee is non-refundable, whether or not the repair is performed, and applies to every appliance repair service unless otherwise stated. By booking the visit, you accept this policy and agree to pay all the following:
- Service call fee
- Repair cost if you choose to proceed
- Any additional fees required for special order parts or extensive repairs
Payment Terms and Repair Authorization
Payment is due upon completion of the service, unless prior written arrangements have been made. The repair invoice must be signed, and full payment must be received before the service is considered complete. The customer is responsible for any additional fees or part replacement required to repair the appliance properly.
By signing the service order or verbally agreeing, you approve the repair and indicate your approval and complete agreement with these terms.
Warranty and Service Coverage
We provide a warranty for 90 days on parts and labor from the date of the completed repairs, as long as the unit is not moved, tampered with, or serviced by another party. This warranty period provides protection against failure resulting from defective workmanship or materials.
Warranties will be void on relocated appliances, appliances modified during or after the repair service, or if the appliance malfunction is due to misuse, lack of maintenance, or interference by anyone other than the authorized service provider.
Limitations and Exclusions
The repair service technician is not responsible for damage to the counter, scratches on the cabinetry, or cosmetic changes necessary to access the unit. If the technician is required to move the appliance, you acknowledge and accept the risk of damage that may occur during the process. Our pricing is based on the customer accepting this responsibility.
If an appliance is improperly installed, inaccessible, or poses a risk to the technician’s safety, they are not required to proceed with the repair. You will still be responsible for the service call.
Special Circumstances and Complex Appliances
Due to the complexity of certain appliances, a full diagnosis may not be possible during the initial visit. The repair cost may only be determined after an initial repair or a more thorough inspection. For high-end units like Sub-Zero, Miele, Viking, Gaggenau, or Thermador, special order parts may require a follow-up visit. In such cases, we will help you schedule the part installation as soon as possible.
Customer Responsibilities
You must provide access to the appliance during the service. If installation of an appliance or clearing space is required, it is the customer’s responsibility. Please have the area clear to accommodate the appliance installation and service.
Your signature on the repair invoice or your continued use of the appliance following the service constitutes acceptance of all terms and completion of the repair to your satisfaction.
Damage Waivers
We strive to handle every appliance repair with care, but the usage of high-end appliances comes with certain risks. For example, lead to food spoilage in the event of refrigeration failure or damage caused by appliance malfunction during or after service. By allowing the technician to commence work, you agree to hold Appliance of Pinellas harmless for incidental damages, unless caused by clear negligence.
Waiver of Damages When Moving Appliances
Many high-end appliances are heavy, built-in, or tightly integrated into cabinetry and flooring. It is always possible that unintentional damage may occur to appliances during service, such as scratches, dents, or damage to floors, counters, or cabinetry.
While our technicians are trained to take every precaution, moving appliances is done at the customer’s request and with the understanding that Appliance of Pinellas cannot be held responsible for damage incurred during the process. By requesting movement of the unit, you agree to release our technicians and the company from liability for any damage that may result.
Waiver of Damages When Working with Water Systems
Many home appliances are connected directly to your plumbing system. When performing appliance repair services on units such as dishwashers, washers, or refrigerators with water lines, there is an inherent risk of leaks, flooding, or complications with water pressure.
Even with proper technique, aging fittings, brittle hoses, or faulty connections can fail without warning, sometimes after the service is completed. Appliance of Pinellas will not be liable for water damage resulting from these kinds of failures unless caused by proven negligence on the part of its technicians. By allowing us to perform repairs on water-connected units, you agree to hold us harmless for damage resulting from plumbing system issues or unforeseen water flow problems.
Waiver of Damages from Failed Refrigeration Equipment
Thermador, Gaggenau, Sub-Zero, and Gaggenau refrigerators and freezers often require complex diagnostics and the handling of sensitive components. Even with the best efforts, refrigeration equipment can fail unexpectedly after service due to existing wear, intermittent part failure, or system instability.
We are not liable for spoiled food, product loss, customer inconvenience, or commercial disruption resulting from refrigeration issues, whether during or after service. While we strive to return your unit to full performance, we cannot guarantee against future breakdowns. By proceeding with the service, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
Waiver of Damages When Handling Glass Cooktops
Glass and ceramic cooktops found on premium brands such as La Cornue, Miele, and Viking are delicate, adhesive-bonded surfaces. Obtaining components below may require lifting or removing the glass top, which carries an unavoidable risk of cracking, shattering, or other breakage.
Although our repair technicians take extreme care when handling these surfaces, Appliance of Pinellas does not assume responsibility for damage caused during this part of the process. You agree that by requesting a service requiring access beneath the cooktop, you understand and accept the associated risks.
Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions of Service represent the complete agreement between you and Appliance of Pinellas. They supersede any verbal statements or previous discussions. Any changes must be agreed to in writing. This entire agreement is valid from the moment you authorize our repair team to begin work.
Legal Jurisdiction
This terms of use policy is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes arising under these terms will be handled in accordance with applicable state law.
